About Amici Miei Restaurant

Ivan Giansante has a passion for cooking and it shows! Ivan, the head chef and partial owner of Amici Miei, has developed a menu of authentic Italian cuisine that brings the flavors of the “old country” to Kennett Square. Steeped in tradition, the cuisine offers diners a unique opportunity to experience the richness and quality of authentic Italian cooking. Top selling entrees include Melanzane all Camicia (baked eggplant), and Risotto alla Ciancetta (lobster risotto).
Ivan attended culinary school in Pescara, Italy, where he was born and raised. Since then he has cooked in some of the finest restaurants around the world. Knowing that quality matters most, his goal was to open a restaurant where he could design, prepare, and present to people of the Tri-State area a dining experience like no other.
Located in the heart of Chester County, Amici Miei opened for business in August of 2007. Ivan, along with his cousin Remo Toto, purchased the old Hugo’s Inn and quickly began renovations. Their vision was to design a restaurant that could convey an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness, while keeping within the design of Italian décor. Since its opening, Amici Miei has served over 25,000 happy customers. Although they arrive as customers, they leave as friends.
